Baking with Aloe Vera juice and the birth of Super Aloe Girl

  • Sharebar

So a few years ago when I first learned that Aloe Vera could be taken internally, I was bewildered!  Like most of the American population I thought it was only to put on the skin when I got a sunburn.  In fact, I remember once as a kid when I got severe burn on my back after spending the day at the reservoir.  It was my savior!  My mom cut a leaf off our plant, rubbed it all over my back and instantly the pain subsided!  So upon first learning that there was such a thing as Aloe juice, I was intriguedto say the least.  Daily I would google Aloe Vera and see what else this plant had to offer.  One day I came across an article that discussed a study where diabetics were fed bread made with it.  WHAT???   This was very interesting to me because I had recently started learning my way around the kitchen and had already personally experienced some very positive effects of taking my daily supplements with Aloe Vera juice.  That’s when Super Aloe Girl was created!

My first experiments were very easy, just finding any ole’ box mix that called for water and replacing it with the Aloe Vera juice.   So here is one of the very first recipes.  I hope you enjoy!

  Tropical Boost Banana Bread

  What you need:

  •  Trader Joe’s banana bread mix
  • 2 large eggs

Preheat oven to 350.  Place mix in a large mixing bowl.  Add eggs, pineapple, and AloeBoost™ and mix until well blended.  Pour into greased loaf pan.  Bake until golden brown, approximately 60 minutes.  Cool 5 minutes, run a knife around the edges and remove from pan.  If you can wait… cool completely before slicing.

First of all, for a problem that has persisted that long, I think you should speak with your doctor. However, speaking from personal experience, taking my daily supplements with an Aloe based drink called AloeAdvanced every morning, has helped me a great deal. Be aware of the difference in the processing method though, whole leaf vs. inner gel. For an explanation of the difference, check back because that is an issue I’m going to cover in my next blog. Here is a link where you can try $100 worth of the Aloe product I’m talking about and you only have to pay shipping, it’s a pretty IRRESISTIBLE offer. http://www.freesamples.usaloe.com/default_newspecialoffer.aspx
